Welcome to Happy Go Lucky!

I was raised on an Iowa farm where I mastered lessons in creativity and integrity…and assumed the nickname LUCKY. 

Acts of service and quality time are my love languages. I’m petrified of dogs, but love a winter day with a cat snuggled on my lap.  I like my beer in a bottle and my vodka in a martini.  Most days I am an organized mess.  An introvert at heart, but I love a good party. 

I adore the fresh scent of the mountains and the salt of the sea, but my favorite place to be is most certainly with my sweet family.  Summer is my season of choice.  Fall is ok if you throw in a few Cyclone tailgates and warm pumpkin bread.  I love to spend a day in the kitchen-chopping veggies, the smell of bacon, and eating cookies fresh out of the oven.  I thrive in Target and on Amazon, but partial to brick-and-mortar shops where I can Shop Small….and maybe eat red velvet cupcakes.  Iowa State loyal and true….that’s where I met my honey and our story began. 

Art!  I love it!  Especially history, architecture, and furniture design! I’ve been an interior designer, real estate agent (very briefly….not my thing LOL), coffee and gift shop owner, greenhouse worker, community, church, and school volunteer, food service extraordinaire, and most recently, a MIMI. But, when everything is said and done, my biggest accomplishment and most favorite job in the world has been raising my two beautiful children with my extremely patient and supportive husband.

So yes, I’m a scattered creative and this is why I do what I do!
